(1) Natural Horn Frames :

Natural horn is one of the most exclusive materials available for eyeglasses. Horn is not only a highly resistant material. It is also a beautiful and vibrant natural product with characteristic color nuances that differentiate genuine horn from any other man made materials. These features make each and every single piece of product as unique as you are.

At Smith & Norbu, we predominantly select the horn of the water buffalo from South East Asia and the horn of the yak from the Tibetan plateau. Water buffalos and Yaks are domesticated animals in Asia and are widely used in agriculture. They do not fall into the category of protected or endangered species. Horn processing respects the environment and therefore complies with the most stringent ECO standards. It is also a anti-allergic product.

Horn frames are made by hand, in a complex production process. Manufacturing a single piece of frames requires as many as thirty operations. Among a multitude of highly precise individual steps, the horn has to be cut open, pressed, sawed and thoroughly polished.

Smith & Norbu horn frames are manufactured by hand only by very skilled craftsmen. The quality in each frame reflects many years of experience

Smith & Norbu natural horn frames are eyeglasses for connoisseurs and lovers of high quality items. Our frames are available in a variety of shapes and colours.

(2) Our Luggage’s range :

Leather is a beautiful and vibrant natural product with all that this implies. Its charm is enhanced by the occasional natural blemish and subtle difference in texture and shade. Leather will always bear the marks of its natural origin. The play of color in leather and its natural markings (marks left by scars and insect bites) are normal features of the leather

and make each piece of product unique. Leather ages with style, acquiring a signature patina that adds depth and character.

Our “Kashgar leather” is a tribute to the Silk Road, crossroad between the East and the West.
